Truffle’s founders created the company having become increasingly frustrated at their inability, as individual investors, to access the high quality private funds that they had spent their careers working with. Large institutional investors have long enjoyed the advantage of being able to access long term private investments, though minimum investment amounts of $10 million per fund have prevented all but the largest investors from participating. By creating Truffle, we have changed this imbalance and are using technology to open private funds to sophisticated individual investors.
At Truffle, we believe in empowering individuals to make their own informed investment decisions – the opposite of the “one size fits all” approach that is prevalent in large parts of the market. Consequently, we have built a platform that is designed to provide investors with all the information they require to make a considered investment decision and pick-and choose private markets funds from an evolving fund line-up, curated by Truffle Invest.
Our team combines experience from all parts of the private markets ecosystem (buying businesses, raising capital, fund selection, portfolio construction etc.), paired with expertise in technology from our partners at Calls9.
